About

Anne

Creating meaningful artwork inspired by nature, emotion, and life's quiet moments.

Hi There

My name is Anne and I'm privileged to live in beautiful Hervey Bay in Queensland, Australia.

I have been practising art for many years; however, as I don't sell my work, I have never called myself an artist. Instead, I either create pieces as gifts for family and friends for special occasions, or I may just do something intuitively and then gift the piece to somebody who connects with it emotionally.

To me, seeing a deep, meaningful reaction from people to my artistic gifts is absolutely priceless and heart-warming. To walk into someone's home and see my artwork still taking pride of place after 20 or 30 years means so much more to me than any monetary gain.

My Background

In the past I completed a three-month graphite drawing workshop under the tutelage of Bill Bonner at the Queensland School of Fine Art (since closed). Apart from several short workshops, I am self-taught in other mediums including watercolour, acrylic, pastel, oils, and coloured pencil.

The Future

Even though I have been rather insular with my past endeavours, I have finally given in to the constant encouragement from family and friends over the years — that I should share my art with a wider audience. Hence, I have decided to dip my toes into the world of e-commerce. I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I do in creating it, and I invite you to join me on this latest adventure.

Please note: Flash the Kelpie on black artist paper showing the technique and progress as it comes together. Each stage is labelled to show its development, from Beginning, Part 1, through to the completed artwork.
